Geektastic Thursday: Potter you Rotter

First off, I'm to all over the place to fully explain how EFFING EXCITED I AM!! Mere hours. HOURS! Till Deathly Hallows.
So apologies if this post is overwhelming.
Also, I'm not gonna even try and pretend I'm about to cover all my bases with catching some crafty Potter...things.
Look at this cute kid!
Now...ONTO THE SPAM. And no, there will be no order to these. I've also bypassed all the standard HP knitted gear. You know what it looks like and all that jazz. And if you don't...well, best skip this entry entirely since it's clearly
Strangely, our hero is the only one not in knitted wear.
Ravelry links for Ginny hat and twins hat.
Ravelry links for Luna scarf and sweater.

Ok, I mainly wanted to post this cause I've been scouring everywhere to find a sweater like Hermione's...

Onto some projects...
Pattern by my awesome friend Rosemary. She has an great blog you should check out.

Reworked a fingerless glove to make a Death Eater mark.
My sister made me this last year. I sadly don't wear it that often cause I can never quite button it right.
And my Potter puppet hanging out with my Puff tie.

Came across this at another fantastic blog...perfection.
I also found a while ago a HP scarf someone was making using the pattern from the Doctor Who scarf. Which I can't find now, but will share if I ever come across it.

And a bonus Rickman and Grint, cause, well, cause I want to.
Now off to waste time until we leave for the midnight show....GAH!

Re: Your Brains

I'm not a horror movie or Halloween loving person. And I'm not as hard core about zombies as all my friends.
But I try. I really do. Especially cause pretty people I like to look at keep making zombie flicks. Okay, really it's just Christopher Eccleston, Cillian Murphy and now Andrew Lincoln, you know, the adorable one pining after Keira 'needs a sandwich' Knightly in Love, Actually? Just saying, I would have chosen him.
Anywhoo!
It's taken me days, literally, days to get through the first episode of The Walking Dead.
It's awesome but scary as all hell.

WHY? Why don't zombies just eat each other? Is it cause they're not fresh? But what about the zombies who were turned yesterday? They still got some shelf life in them.
Also, my roommate Ashlee always brings up a good point in terms of a zombie apocalypse.
Boats.
They can't swim. So when the s*#! goes down, get yourself to a boat, stock up on supplies, and you're safe for the immediate future.
That's my rant. Now I'm off to find the second episode cause while I want to cower behind the couch, I'm hooked and need to know what happens!
BONUS COULTON!

Vacation from a Vacation

So Nanowrimo was a bust. I don't know how other people do it. A few pages in and I hate everything I did and erase it. I don't care about word count, I just want something I don't cringe to look at.

Oh well. I went on vacation this past weekend with friends and it was amazing. I'll post pictures once I recover. The five hour drive from St. Louis that took nearly eight cause of traffic nearly did me in.

Back to the ole job search and book binging. Suggestions always welcome. And while I enjoyed The Hunger Games more than I thought I would, I made someone tell me the rest of the series cause I couldn't imagine it going on for another two books. If it was told from Peeta's perspective I might have done it. Great concept. Katniss, no. Sorry.

Finishing and Starting

I finished a hat for Susan, who, by the way, is the cutest person ever.
Finished one of my socks a while ago and failed to post about it. It came out better than expected, though I don't have enough yarn left to finish a second one. Good job me.
And since I haven't been able to figure out what to do with the excess of red and pink yarn I have, I've started making an epic one that will include all of them!
And still on the fence whether I should take part in....
Thinking I'll start writing something and if it's going well, I'll stick with it. Cause I know if I get off track, I'll never get back on. Which would just stress me out. Which I wholly disapprove of.
