Saturdays are for Sitting

Not really. But I like alliteration.
Can a novella be considered one novel? I haven't thought about it in terms of my total books read, but I just finished The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, but also A Study in Scarlet and The Sign of Four, both novella length.  I know, silly thing to fret about, but I was curious. Especially cause it'll mean being halfway to my goal. Also, on the hunt for book suggestions, I'm down to my last ten.
Also, on the hunt for this sweatshirt. I don't even know where I found this picture, but it's now my goal to have a shirt with that(or something similar) on it.

And going to this later today. Should be fun. My friend's band Diagon Alley is playing it, which is always a hoot.

Geektastic Thursday: Portal

Taking a detour this week on knitted and crocheted geekery for Portal. One of the few games I can play without screaming(too much) in fear at the TV. And it makes for some creative crafts.

I want these bookends.

A DIY mirror that would be an awesome project to undertake.

I couldn't find one I liked best, but if you google or search Craftster or Etsy for portal or cake is a lie t shirt....oh boy, the possibilities.

The companion cube makes for a slew of different crafts.I've seen mostly plushies, pillows, and the occasional baked goods. But I'm still trying to find a way to make it into a messenger bag. Geeky AND practical.
Though this rubix cube is possibly my favorite creative companion cube project I've seen.

of fire and marshmellows

Camping. Whole lotta fun. Except at night, sleeping in a freezing cold tent cause we didn't quite pack enough blankets and layers and it was suddenly chilly in Illinois.
But all in all, fun times.
And yes, we did take pictures with a disposable camera.

Kitten Mittens!

The new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia started this week. Let the awkward comedy commence!

Needless to say, Charlie's my favorite.

Also, Merlin came back last week. Oh so much pretty.

I'm going to be such a shut-in.

Also, fall and winter's is practically here, so I re-opened my Etsy store and plan to add more things in the next few weeks.

Geektastic Thursday: Wonderfalls

A.K.A. the endless supply of scarves.
Apparently, if you don't spend money on an apartment, you have oh so much more for scarves.
And some hats.
And of course, these sweaters, that no one can explain.
Who am I kidding? I'd raid her closet.
Also, I wish my apartment looked like her trailer.

To the Fair!

Hoping to convince some friends to go with me to this. I can't really afford to buy anything, but I can look at all the pretty. And I do like to look at pretty things.

Geektastic Thursday

September is just going to be everything and all things Bryan Fuller.
Today: Pushing Daisies. If, for no other reason, cause I'm in a mood for some Lee Pace.
I feel like a bad fan for not really noticing (until I re-watched it to introduce my roommate Ashlee to it) that Ned (unless undercover) never wears color. Black, gray and the occasional white when he's in a suit is his entire color scheme. It's like he's a cartoon.
Possibly a stretch, but this sweater kinda reminds of this one.
Someone on livejournal made a few caps of knitted items. My favorites:
The rest can be seen here.

Ned's scarves. I'm sad I couldn't find a better picture of the second one. Though there's an awesome pattern for it on Ravelry.
And some more for fun.
Sweater vest and gun holster. Emerson is my knitsperation.
You know he totally knitted those beehive cozies as well.
These sweaters. Want. I'm sadly lacking an over-sized knitted "Christmas-like" sweater with some sort of animal on it.
I know there's a zillion more examples, but I had to stop myself before I made a twenty page long picspam.
