Always.

I'm still recovering from Deathly Hallows part 2.
It was amazing! And heartbreaking. And funny. And Snape. And all around a fantastic movie, changes, cuts, and all.
I was crying for most of the battle, which was a lot. Neville was perfect. Ron and Hermione were adorable. And Snape was beyond amazing. Pretty sure I'm going to see it again sometime this weekend. But this time, I'll watch part 1 right beforehand so it feels like an awesome three hour continuous movie.
I also made a shirt for my sister Heather for the midnight premiere.
It's slowly sinking in that it's actually the end. Not as if I can't reread them for the millionth time or watch all the movies in a marathon. But aside from the park (which I will cry if I can't go in the next year), and Pottermore, the amount of new things is dwindling. I accept it. But it's still heartbreaking.
I'm in a glass case of emotion.

Apartment makeover: part 4

It's the back porch's turn to get a spruce-up.
The before:
Thanks Ikea.

The results:
Aside from not finding lanterns, I'm quite happy with it so far. I mean, did you see the before? Now, this is where everyone ends up when friends come over.

let's celebrate with fire

The 4th of July. Bingo gambling and fireworks. At one point I think they were just setting everything on fire.

It's not a problem if you're having fun, right?
A Beatles tribute band. The lead singer had a personal fan, so his hair was constantly billowing.

Another Random Sunday

Another Sunday. Another batch of random things I've done this week.
Ashlee, being cool.
Friends' punk band, Shift. Always awesome.
Wallace being a basket cat.
Finally saw the new Jane Eyre. Pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I'd recommend it to any period drama fans. Though why every incarnation I've seen never included Rochester getting his vision back, I don't know. It seems like it'd be a happier note to end on.
Also started watching White Collar at my new roommate Becca's suggestion. Nearly done with season 1 and I'm on the fence if I like it enough to keep going. I think if they lost a case every once in a while, had more three dimensional minor characters (aside from Elizabeth and Mozz) and Neil met someone who didn't fall at his feet the second he smiled (and got rid of those turtlenecks), I'd be more on board.
Yeah, I spent most of the week watching TV and vegging out. I justify it cause I have a big week ahead with friends coming into town and shows and overtime at work. And yeah, it's gonna be a long, sleep deprived, and fun week.
