An Almost Meatless Thanksgiving

While I'm not a fan of it, I still had a fun weekend at home with my mom and sister.
The tofurkey. More tasty than it sounds, I swear.
The turkey for mom and mounds of potatoes for everyone.
The stuffing I didn't participate in and the pie I was all over.

How to Train Your Dragon was adorable and by far better than Letters to Juliet and Eat Pray Love(which we also watched).
 Yeah, totes ready for Crimmus.
 Leftovers.
This is why I don't cook. They look odd but tasted delicious.

Allons-y!

It's the 47th anniversary of Doctor Who!
This might be the year I finally ask for a sonic screwdriver for my birthday/Christmas. Cause who needs new clothes and money when you can pretend to sonic things?

That's all I have for today. Just wanted to geek out for a moment.

pre-holiday madness

I went out looking for Sherlock and ended up with
Also, totes ready for the holidays. I never want to take these off.
DEATHLY HALLOWS.....SPOILERS! Kind of.
No worries, this will be a short reaction. I'm still recovering. It was EPIC. Ron was perfect. There was not nearly enough of Snape(seriously? ONE scene?) I cried a bit, mostly Gred and Forge and Dobby. Could have done with not having some plot bits cut out to make room for...non....plot....things. I wanted more of the characters they keep forgetting about. Like, you know, Remus, Luna, Snape, Neville, Ginny, Lucius, Snape, Draco, Voldy, Weasleys and Snape?
Oh yeah, and sudden Bill was awesome. And pretty.
That's it. I'm getting ready for a very vegetarian/vegan Thanksgiving. Knitting and watching basic cable TV.
Just another Monday.

Geektastic Thursday: Potter you Rotter

First off, I'm to all over the place to fully explain how EFFING EXCITED I AM!! Mere hours. HOURS! Till Deathly Hallows.
So apologies if this post is overwhelming.
Also, I'm not gonna even try and pretend I'm about to cover all my bases with catching some crafty Potter...things.
Look at this cute kid!
Now...ONTO THE SPAM. And no, there will be no order to these. I've also bypassed all the standard HP knitted gear. You know what it looks like and all that jazz. And if you don't...well, best skip this entry entirely since it's clearly
Strangely, our hero is the only one not in knitted wear.
Ravelry links for Ginny hat and twins hat.
Ravelry links for Luna scarf and sweater.

Ok, I mainly wanted to post this cause I've been scouring everywhere to find a sweater like Hermione's...

Onto some projects...
Pattern by my awesome friend Rosemary. She has an great blog you should check out.

Reworked a fingerless glove to make a Death Eater mark.
My sister made me this last year. I sadly don't wear it that often cause I can never quite button it right.
And my Potter puppet hanging out with my Puff tie.

Came across this at another fantastic blog...perfection.
I also found a while ago a HP scarf someone was making using the pattern from the Doctor Who scarf. Which I can't find now, but will share if I ever come across it.

And a bonus Rickman and Grint, cause, well, cause I want to.
Now off to waste time until we leave for the midnight show....GAH!

Re: Your Brains

I'm not a horror movie or Halloween loving person. And I'm not as hard core about zombies as all my friends.
But I try. I really do. Especially cause pretty people I like to look at keep making zombie flicks. Okay, really it's just Christopher Eccleston, Cillian Murphy and now Andrew Lincoln, you know, the adorable one pining after Keira 'needs a sandwich' Knightly in Love, Actually? Just saying, I would have chosen him.
Anywhoo!
It's taken me days, literally, days to get through the first episode of The Walking Dead.
It's awesome but scary as all hell.

WHY? Why don't zombies just eat each other? Is it cause they're not fresh? But what about the zombies who were turned yesterday? They still got some shelf life in them.
Also, my roommate Ashlee always brings up a good point in terms of a zombie apocalypse.
Boats.
They can't swim. So when the s*#! goes down, get yourself to a boat, stock up on supplies, and you're safe for the immediate future.
That's my rant. Now I'm off to find the second episode cause while I want to cower behind the couch, I'm hooked and need to know what happens!
BONUS COULTON!
