The end of an era! Not really

But it is the end of the year! We're planning to stay home, drink and be merry...or something. I get to wear my new dress I got for Birthmas. Should be fun fancy times.
Til then, I have very mild, but fun to me, plans for the day.
Going to finish
 It's the 50th book!!
Also gonna take a stab at
...because this was too frustrating. Don't let the cuteness fool you. It's trickier than it looks.
My life is so exciting, I know.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Smithmas 2010

A few days late, but lo and behold, a Very Merry Smithmas!

My "there's too much tape face".Also new hat!

My sister Heather showing off one of the moustache mugs she bought.
Intense game of Zombie Fluxx.

Aside from the gift wrap massacre, there was a lot of fake meat and movie watching (Inception, Easy A, Sherlock, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and The Sound of Music.) Basically, awesome.
P.S. Doctor Who Christmas Carol was fan fraking tastic! My life is severely lacking a fez....and lens flare.

A Boldlygo Chritsmas

We named our apartment Boldlygo. This was our Christmas Eve Eve.
Wallace vs. ribbon. Wallace won.
The battle of who could gift in the largest box. Susan won with the massive candy cane one front and center.
British crackers!

We kept sticking more on ourselves as the night went on. Blame general yuletide excitement. Or the champagne and beer.
Moo kitty spent most of the evening sleeping in the gift wrap massacre.
Pass the pigs. Pretty much the most intense "dice" game ever.
Time turner put into use....where will they go!?!
 BEST GIFT EVER!
Now I'm off to eat sweets and wait for my mom and sister to wake up. Don't they know what today is!?
Also! SMITHMAS! Doctor Who Christmas Carol is on tonight! The countdown begins!
And a few bonuses I found the past few days.
Trolling the gf on Christmas

HAPPY CHRIMMUS!! Stay warm, safe and full of deliciousness.

Birthmas week: Part 1

Cause when there's multiple Christmas birthdays you have to let it seep into the entire week. Tomorrow is Ashlee and mine's birthday. Thursday we exchange gifts with friends. And Friday I head to my mom's for the long weekend.
Basically, I'm spent yet weirdly excited and awake. I think cause I'm mainly functioning on cookies.

Last year our topper was the Enterprise. The Tardis has proved to be less prone to attacks by cats. Sadly I can't say the same for all my mini bows I put on some presents.

Just some of the mass of cookies Cheryl baked.

Also, found this while out shopping. Still amuses me.

Geektastic Thursday: Happy 235th Miss Austen

I don't know if I've ever said it here, but Jane Austen is my favorite author. She pretty much got me into reading classics and wanting to write.
And it may come as a shock to fellow Janeites, but Northanger Abbey is my favorite of her novels.

Most pics from Tumblr and We Heart It.

In a Crimmus kind of mood

Still haven't gotten to my Christmas shopping. I know. I should really get on that.
But I have been getting into the spirit by listening and watching Christmas themed movies and music.
So I made a short list of my favorite holiday movies. Cause I looooooove lists so much.

In somewhat of an order...
A Christmas Story
Cause it's really hard not to like this movie. Especially when they air it non stop for 24 hours every year.

A Muppet Christmas Carol
It's a musical with muppets and Michael Caine. Essentially perfect.

It's a Wonderful Life
My mom's personal favorite and one we watch every year. It's funny. I love the movie to bits, but has anyone ever noticed that it's only Christmas for only the last forty minutes or so of the movie?

A Charlie Brown Christmas
No one needs a reason to love this movie.

Elf
I'm not a big Will Ferrell fan, but this movie makes me so deliciously happy when I watch it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Musical. Stop motion. Holiday explosion. I miss classic Tim Burton(Sweeney Todd being the most recent exception to this).

Love Actually
One of my favorite movies, holiday or not. Makes me laugh and cry every time I watch it. Perfect cast. Perfect stories. Perfect everything.
